The SkyTerra MSAT-G2 satellite two-way radio, incorporated into our new MCOM1, is a truly portable satellite telephone system. The MCOM1 can be deployed and operational in only a few minutes. Simple and intuitive for the operator who must be able to access emergency communications when time is of the essence.

All external hardware is black oxide coated per MIL-C-13924

All internal hardware is passivated per QQ-P-35 to protect from corrosion in any environment or temperature extreme.

All parts are water jet cut and/or brake formed on 3D model driven precision computer controlled equipment.

The entire unit is designed to enhance its COTS component percentage and part commonality and portability from unit-to-unit.

The cover is secured by torx style screws to increase internal component protection.

Internal case components are the same QQ-A-250 certified MIL-A-8625F finished style.

Gel cell battery. 8 Hours standby time, 1.5 hours talk / trasmit time

The battery door is held by a MIL spec MS20257 hinge and Aircraft grade quarter-turn captive fastener/receptacle system for maximum protection, standardization and global military parts commonality.

Battery wires are additionally grommeted to protect from fraying and provide years of useful service.

The internal battery is shock-proofed via AA-59588 compliant rubber on every battery enclosure surface.
